Burglaries
Dear Altamira Residents, please be vigilant !!
In the last days since the week end, one burglary and some burglary attempts have taken place at a villa in the Main Road and other areas of Altamira.
It was reported, that three Moroccans have been seen.
It was also reported that the selling activities for new security contacts went up considerable.
We must remain alert to anything suspicious and not hesitate to report to the Policia any concerns however small it may seem. e.g any suspicious cars or people hanging around.
The Policia are more than happy to investigate, and if you ring 112 somebody will speak to you in English.

Burglaries and attempted Burglaries – Las Ramblas-Altamira
A number of you will know that on Thursday, the 3rd November and over that weekend and the following weekend there were three burglaries and a number of attempted burglaries within the Altamira Community. As soon as this came to the attention of your Committee and our Administrators steps were taken to liaise with the Police and for other steps to be taken to endeavour to improve security.
It is up to each owner to take their own steps to ensure as far as they are able the security of their home. However, Committee representatives have very recently had a meeting with CRAC the security company who have a large number of contracts with owners in Las Ramblas. As a result of the meeting patrols are being stepped up and we are now waiting for them to contact us with further proposals to improve security. You will be kept informed of developments.
It is thought that the burglars entered Altamira via the golf course and it seems that the crimes were committed during hours when the occupants were out in the evening. Please be vigilant and if you see or hear any suspicious behavour please immediately call the Police by phoning 112.

Urgent Attention - For all Owners and Residents in Las Ramblas - Altamira
Please note there were two attempted break-ins during Thursday evening the 3rd November in Calle Cazorla and Avd Las Ramblas de Oleza.
The attempted robbery In Calle Cazorla took place between 18.30 and 21.00 when the occupants of the property were out for the evening. Three men, dressed in black with black hoods were seen hiding in a garden and when challenged by an alert neighbour they immediately ran from the property and were seen running down the embankment at the rear of Calle Cazorla and onto the golf course.
Please be vigilant and if you see any suspicious activities immediately call the Police on 112.

Good morning everybody,
We talked to the Police and the Guardia on Saturday to ask for regular patrol specially during the nights.
We will send some lines out today to all owners asking to be vigilant and most importantly, to report every single incident to the guardia civil, who are the ones who will have to take action here.
Regards,
Sylvia Fries

Illegal Burning Waste Tip – Forum, 12.00 to 14.00 Friday, 17th June 2016 –Las Ramblas Club House
Many of you will know that for the past few years I have, with your help, been actively campaigning to try and put a stop to the toxic fumes and emissions emanating from the smouldering waste tip close to our Community. In our fight we have used the media, legal and political processes to put as much pressure as we can on the landowner concerned and other relevant authorities. The result, we have, with a great deal of help from C.L.A.R.O, and others, just won a major victory.
Many of you will have seen reported in the Press, and perhaps witnessed yourselves, that action has been taken to cover the escape of gases with tons of earth and sand and that the new Government in Valencia has insisted on this action. Much still remains to be done but we should not under estimate the progress that has been made.
A Forum to discuss this issue and the general problem of illegal waste tips has been arranged and will be held on Friday, 17th June between 12.00 and 14.00 at the Las Ramblas Club House. We will have guest speakers from the Valencian Parliament, Vertivega, who specialise in denouncing illegal waste tips and who have actively helped us, C.L.A.R.O and others who will be able to bring us up-to-date on progress being made and what further action we may need to take.
We anticipate the media being present and it is important that good support is shown so that we can show that we are not complacent and that much still remains to be done.
We need to show continuing solidarity, please do your best to try and be in attendance.

Malicious Damage to car parked in the basement car park at Los Lirious Block 4
Please be aware that I have been advised that the roof of a convertible Opel Cadet legitimately parked in the basement garage at Los Lirios Block 4 has been slashed and badly damaged. The crime, which has been reported to he Police, who attended the scene, occurred during the evening/night of Monday, 21st December. Other vehicles parked in the garage were not damaged. It is not known why the particular vehicle was singled out and how the vandal gained access to the garage but they could have an entrance key.
